Thank you for your feature request and/or vote. This feature is now available to all GoGuardian Admin users! After logging into Admin 2, you will notice a ‘key’ icon in the top right — next to your username. Hovering over the key will provide more OU sync details and the ability to force a re-sync or re-authorization if a failure occurs. Feel free to reply to this email with any questions. Had another sync issue yesterday. Didn't find out about it until a teacher reported that a student is showing offline and is not being filtered.
If only I would have received a notification.
Google has all of the student information, such as names, emails, grades (or organizational units, aka OU), and then that information is synced over to GoGuardian.
If this information is not synced correctly, bad things happen.
It is not practical for a teacher to have to watch every second of the classroom for web traffic. They have important things to be doing like teaching!
It's also impossible for them to quickly and conveniently review their students browsing history while looking for potential behavioral issues such as browsing the web, looking up explicit content, and otherwise doing things they're not supposed to be doing while in the class.
The summary reports are inefficient. They'll show most visited sites, and other basic information - but does nothing in helping the teacher monitor their classroom efficiently.
Bring the power BACK to the CLASSROOM.
This would be very good.
This is very important and deserves a lot of votes. If the sync fails, there was several issues, from joining classrooms, to possibly what was being filtered correctly. BIG ISSUE.
