Thanks for the request for a Global Blacklist Change Update. While we haven’t decided on this as a feature yet, I wanted to update you guys directly, as we just added another 37,000 suggestions from GoGuardian admins to our blacklist.
Or at least have a list somewhere that we can access. I wouldn't want to get emails everytime something is blocked, but if there was a weekly update, that would be okay.
Thanks for the feature request! A beta version of Penalty Box has just been launched, which will allow you to build a specific list of “whitelist only” websites for students that need special attention. In conjunction, we are now starting to work on a new version of bypass passwords so you can give students special access to specific websites when they need it. As you requested this feature, you have special access before it is released more widely to give feedback and suggest improvements. Try it out at https://admin.goguardian.com/policy/penalty-boxNicole Treesh shared this idea ·
Thanks for requesting scheduled filtering! It is now available in Admin 2.0 at admin.goguardian.com/policy/assign/default. You can now set time and IP address settings for when students are “in-school” vs “out-of-school”. We also completely redid the interface in order to fit the needs of your schools and districts, making it simpler and faster to set up filtering settings. Please try it out and let me know if you run into any issues!
We are going to be working on single student filtering soon!
Product Manager for GoGuardian Admin
Allow for custom filtering based on location rather than either "filter at school" or "filter at school only." For example, we block games and entertainment at all times, but we would like the option to allow those things during certain periods of time or when not at school.
Setting time limits is the first step in starting a session. If you start a session for 45 minutes, then after that, you can no longer view or control those students and whatever you did during that time is no longer in effect.
I think this would more useful for Admins so that when an email gets flagged, we can see what the content is. If implemented, it should also be a privilege given by Admins to specific users, not an automatic right. Granted, if a school doesn't have the Admin Dashboard...then that's a different story.
