  1. Add a way to designate a device as a loaner for a particular user

    We provide loaners for students whose original Chromebook is in for repair. Students who've damaged a loaner lose the privilege of keeping their device after graduation, so we would need to track this, if possible.

    It would be great to print an invoice and (and possibly track payment) for a repair.

  3. Show warranty Status

    I would like to set the warranty status for each Chromebook. That way I know which are under warranty, from which vendor, and when the warranty is expiring.

    Thanks for requesting a way to store warranty information in Fleet. We are planning on implementing this feature in the near future.

  4. Custom Fields

    Add a couple of Custom fields so other data can be tracked. For us we are running a program where if a child has had a chromebook assigned at least 3 years before they graduate they get it for free. Otherwise it is discounted by $50 each year they have had it. This incentivises them to keep good care of them. It would be nice to track when they were first assigned to that person and separately a note of their history.

  5. Add tracking info to repair

    It'd be great to attach tracking numbers to repair tickets and then a report that summarizes all tracking statuses.

    GoGuardian Fleet was originally developed for a default laptop screen, which limited the number of columns that could be shown.

    In the short term, click the gear button next to the columns to select which columns to show on the dashboard.

    In the long term, our design team is currently investigating the best way to allow more columns for wider screens.

    I would like the option to select a status for a repair.
    1) Called in
    2) awaiting shipping
    3) shipped
    4) On it's way back
    5) Returned

  8. Option to send an email when device marked as "needs repair"

    When the status is changed to needs repair, allow the option to send an email to an email address of the admin's choosing. Example, I have a ticketing system that I would want and email sent to, that would generate a new IT ticket to the IT staff. This way the end user would only need update the status of the device, not have to update the status and create an IT ticket.

    Payment tracking for repairs varies greatly between schools, but we are currently researching if there are good ways to support many different workflows. Thanks for the feedback!

  10. Ability to edit repairs or delete

    Please allow an admin account or designated account to update, edit, or delete repairs. Often we need to go back in and edit the notes or change something that was reported in error, at this time we have not way to do this.

    You can now attach PDF’s and images to repairs in GoGuardian Fleet!

  13. Allow assigning/linking user accounts to a repair order

    Each repair should allow a user to be assigned to the order, not just be linked to the assigned user for the device. Sometimes other students break other students devices and are responsible. I believe a "User that caused the damage" section would be great.

    Each repair now has a “Responsible User” attribute that you can modify in case the student that was assigned wasn’t the one that broke the device.

  14. Add a way to sync recent user to Assigned User

    Most of our devices were enrolled using a generic account. It would be great to be able to use the most recent user and make that the Assigned user.

  15. Allow resizing the width of the data fields

    Roughly 50% of my screen is wasted space. I would like to be able to resize the results windows and its individual data fields to utilize more of my screen. This would also save me from having to copy to clipboard to see the model.
    Example: for the Model Field all that is displayed is
    "HP Chromebook 14 q..."
    When the full text in the field is actually:
    "HP Chromebook 14 ak000-099 / HP Chromebook 14 G3"
    or
    "HP Chromebook 14 ak000-099 / HP Chromebook 14 G4"

    I currently have to click an item, copy it to clipboard, and paste…

    This is definitely an issue. Our UX team is looking into better ways to display this, and we will get back to you on this one soon!

  16. Add the ability to print labels with user and device info.

    It would be very nice to be able to print a label to go on the device directly from fleet. We use a combination of programs/methods when rolling out devices. This would make fleet more of a one stop shop for sure!!

  18. Student Login to see Fees Owed

    Not sure if it's possible, but it would be nice to be able to tie in a way that students could log in with their Google Account and see their damages as well as the fees owed for those damages. If a student is tied to the computer, they could login with their Google acct, see their asset tag as well as any pictures or information about their damage.

    Autofilling user emails from your google user profiles is now complete! To import your users, click on the question mark in the upper right corner and click “force sync”. Once it is done, please test out the feature and send me any and all feedback!
