Ability to view or reply to chat when students are disconnected/offline
This feature would allow us to still see, read, and reply to their chat messages
Under the chat tab I am able to view that students have sent a chat message to me. If they log off of a browser or turn off their computer i am unable to see their chat message.
Thank you for this great suggestion. With our recent chat update, you can now see chat logs from past sessions and view/send chat messages to students even if they’re offline.
To access past chat logs:
1. Go to the classroom where the chat took place.
2. Click on the specific past session when you messaged the student.
3. On the bottom right corner, click the chat icon and click on the student’s name to access the chat archive.
For more information on step #3 above, refer to the attached screenshot.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

I sent a message to a student who had already logged off. Will he get those messages when he logs back in, even though my session is over?

I would like to suggest that teachers can still see messages that students sent through the chat feature, even after the student goes offline.

I would like to be able to view chat posts when the students are offline. If they send a message and go offline we continue to get a notification and we can not clear it.

Create and save auto chat responses to minimize the time it takes to type the same response to different students who ask similar questions.
Currently I created a Google Sheet of auto responses to copy and paste from. It would be nice if GoGuardian had a drop down feature (or similar) of common and created responses to quickly send to students.
Absolutely- I wanted to add a student back in and was unable to do so as well.

The teacher would be able to exclude students from a session but still be able to monitor their screens or instant message them.

I would like to leave a message for a student not in session to be viewed once they login as my students do most of their online course work after school hours.

Be able to select from custom preset messages to send students such as in the middle of class if a student is on their Chromebook send a preset message asking them to close it and pay attention so we don't have to call them out in front of class or walk across the class to address it (wasted class time and distraction to others).
