Improve the chat feature The students don't notice when the receive a message... needs to be more noticeable

Is there a chance you could make sending a message to a student more obvious so that they can see it pop up on their screen? If they are not paying attention they do not recognize the message in the corner! Just a thought!!

Chat for students should be an overlay, superimposed on their screenwork. This would greatly benefit students remotely being helped without disrupting class.

I totally agree, I send students messages and they don't notice the "1" in the bubble. the message should appear in the middle of the screen so they can read it as soon as I send it.

I want to be able to send my students private messages straight to their screen (and be able to turn on/off their ability to reply). (Like if they were on a website they shouldn't be or if they were not participating)
That was I can "get on" to a student from my computer without walking over to them and saying something....sometimes this causes them to react publicly because their neighbors now know they are in trouble.

Students ignore the message bubble while working. I need them to read ASAP. The message should lock screen like whole class message so they have to read and close before getting back to assignment.

Agreed! I don't want it to be optional (waiting for students to click on it). If the teacher sends the student a chat message- I want it to immediately pop up on their screen so that they see it right away.

Rarely do students notice the little "1" in the chat bubble when they get a message from me (the teacher). The bubble should have some sort of animation when there is a message to make it more noticeable.

Make the chat notification more prominent and make the students acknowledge the chat bubble before they can continue

maybe the notification can change colors when the student has a message.
