Admin access to teacher classes
Admins should be able to view all the teachers classes in GG for teachers. Admins should also have the ability to bulk import classes and assign those classes to teachers. This would make initial setup of GG for Teachers very easy in the summer months.
Maybe even integrated with a student management system like Powerschool or MMS. That way classes could be built off of class lists?
This is Kevin, the Product Manager for GoGuardian Teacher. There are a couple of suggestions in here so I want to make sure I get to each one
- Access to teacher classrooms – with the new “Log in as” feature in org management, super users are able to access and manage any teacher classroom
- bulk importing classes – you can currently integrate with Classlink or Clever to bulk import classes for teachers (we’re working on integrating with other tools, but if there’s a specific tool you want us to integrate with that we don’t integrate with at the moment, please post a suggestion with the name of the service)
If there are things we haven’t addressed yet that I missed, please let me know.
Thank you for the suggestion!
Admins really need to be able to get in and close teachers sessions. I am constantly getting students in my office because their teacher forgot to close a session and it never fails that, that teacher is gone that day. I have to reset their GoGuardian password, get into their email (thank you Google Vault), and then change their password for GoGuardian. Then I can close their session but have to end up resetting their password again so they can get into it.
There is way to much work involved when I can see it being as simple as impersonating/becoming a user on the admin side.

Every year, and sometimes during the year I have teachers that have created scenes that are still holding on to the devices (blocking them from things they need in the next class). Impersonating that teacher would allow an Admin to change the scene or remove it for the student if necessary.

Admins need some type of tool granting them some level of management over teacher sessions.

And the ability to end a session that runs on too long...

I have been asking for this feature since day one.
We use GAM to pull data from Powerschool to automatically create Google Classrooms using the students' email addresses and the teacher they are assigned, then GG can just use Google Classroom to populate the classes. Works like a dream.

This would be a great feature. I would like to be able to view all teachers and their classrooms. Currently, the only way to do that is to have the teacher add the admin as a helper, teacher, or owner. This approach works fine, but then I end up with a massive list of classrooms that are difficult to distinguish (most of our teachers just name their classes 1st Hour, 2nd Hour, etc). It would be nice if they were grouped by teacher, or if I had the ability to organize classes in folders. Or give the ability to view teacher accounts from GG Admin. There are many ways to accomplish the same end-goal which is to see a teacher's active session.

As a Systems Admin, I would put this as a top priority for the next release. Trying to support the teacher's without this access makes it very difficult on my end.
